·         Some bus stations provide deals for bus tickets especially if you’re a student or senior. Purchasing tickets in advance are usually affordable than last minute purchase.

·         Your baggage should be in the minimum weight. Contact the bus station before departure to consult about bus restrictions. This is done to prevent delays and excessive baggage fee.

·         Bring food and water for the bus trip. Bus travels can take for long hours. Restaurants are available in the bus stops but the food is mostly processed and fattening. Other stops of bus stations don’t have food stalls. Food preparation is required before departure.

·         Choose a seat that makes you comfortable.

·         Socialize with your seatmate if you’re traveling alone. During stops, you might want to go to the comfort room. Socializing with your seatmate while traveling will allow you to ask a favor to him/her to watch out for your luggage. The favor will be returned if he/she is the one in need. Bigger bus stations provide lockers for your valuables in case you need to go somewhere and explore the place. A locker fee will be charged to you.

·         Take note of the scheduled time of departure in every bus stop. The bus company is not liable if you are left behind. You can opt for the window seat to eliminate the chance of disturbance. Choose the aisle seat if you are always getting up and down.
