They are some of paradise’s slightest appreciated creatures. It is on a beautiful holiday location where you least expect of them that a dream vacation becomes your worst nightmare. Some that hungers for adventure treats these places their dream vacation.

Be aware of some of the most shark infested vacation destinations. Appreciate the place but be watchful of the waters.


Papua New Guinea is on the list of vacation destinations that logged many shark attacks since 1925 according to ISAF. There were 49 reported shark attacks, but it was unsure if the attacks were from vacationers that were diving or from local fishermen. The place is the world’s largest tropical island rich in diverse marine environment. Every year hundred of divers visit the place to witness its vast range of aquatic life.




South Carolina’s Myrtle Beach is also one of the favorite vacation hot spots in South Carolina, but it was disliked when sharks started show up. Dangerous sharks like the bull and tiger sharks were spotted at Myrtle Beach. South Carolina filed 66 shark attacks since 1837. In the year 2010, a boy was rushed into the hospital and expert says that a shark bit the boy.





California’s Red Triangle is well-known for great white sharks in the northern coastline part of California. It is where it got its name “Red” for the blood in the water caused by shark attacks. Since 1926, 96 shark attacks were reported. The beaches within the triangle are well-known to surfers and divers.



In Brazil a famous tiny beach town named Recife had the most shark attacks in South America. Recife’s Beach is famous to the locals in Brazil. It attracts surfers around America for its suitable surfing waters. An estuary was built during 1980’s that became the birthing place for Bull Sharks, and after that it caused unfortunate cases of shark attacks at Recife. A total of 89 shark attacks were reported since 1980.







Brevard County Florida is one of the top hot spots of shark attacks.There are over 90 shark attacks in Brevard County since 1882. In the world list of shark attacks in 2007, 32 of 71 attacks happened in Florida according to ISAF. Brevard County attracts many tourists because the Country is home to the famous Space Coast and it is near Colorado’s Disney World.







Australia is the home of over 166 species of sharks. It also has a high percentage of shark attacks victims. Last year 2006 in Queensland, a girl swimming was attacked by 3 Bull Sharks at 5 feet. It is no surprise that you could encounter different species of these sharks in any shore of Australia. Australia has many terrific vacation spots and beautiful beaches. Its reefs are famous for scuba-diving and a lot of tourists visit the place for other fun activities that you can do like sky diving, snorkeling, sailing and more. Remember to be careful when you’re at any beach in an Australian escapade.




Some of the vacation destinations to be mindful of includes Maui in Hawaii, New South Wales in Australia and Volusia Country in Florida. It is better to know about the place you are going before visiting it so you could fully enjoy a vacation. Although the place is really beautiful and breathtaking, there are circumstances to be aware of. It is not only in movies that we see people being horrifically eaten by monstrous sharks. But then shark attacks should not hinder you to visit nature’s gift.
